Parent and Family Engagement for Newcomer Populations: This session is designed to help teachers and school leaders discover the importance of truly “knowing your audience” when it comes to meeting parent and family engagement goals. Through interactive activities and discussions, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their own practices and develop a plan for engaging families in ways that are likely to feel more comfortable and fruitful for all stakeholders.
