In response to the temporary pause in SNAP benefits distribution in Missouri and across the nation during the month of November 2025, we have compiled a list of resources for food assistance. New resources will be added to this list periodically. Last updated: 10/30/25

Statewide:
Feeding Missouri: Enter your zip code, and this site will direct you to food pantries near you.
Missouri WIC: This program provides supplemental food, health care referrals, nutrition education and breastfeeding promotion and support to eligible pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to age five. Fathers, grandparents, guardians and foster parents may also apply for benefits for the children living in their household. WIC benefits will be available for redemption in November 2025.
Salvation Army has food pantries and shelters among additional programs offering social services to communities across the country.
Jefferson City, MO:
The Pantry JC: This food pantry aims to reduce food insecurity and empower Missouri residents. They provide a three-day supply for breakfast for each household member. Dinner entrees serve at least three people, with possible leftovers. They also provide fresh ingredients for meal-prep (2123 Missouri Blvd, Jefferson City, MO).
United Way of Central MO: This resource is a list of mobile markets for the month of November, 2025.

St. Louis, MO:
St. Louis Area Foodbank: This resource provides a list of food banks nearest to you as well as a list to food distribution events. 
International Institute of St. Louis: Every Friday 12-3pm CT, the International Institute of St. Louis holds a food bank to serve the greater St. Louis community (3401 Arsenal St, St. Louis, MO 63118)
ICNA Relief is a local food pantry serving those in and around St. Louis (10570 W Page Ave, St. Louis, MO 63132).

Crosslines Ministries: This resource provides essential items including food, diapers, clothing, hygiene kits and more to those residing in Joplin.
The Independent Living Center: As a part of their services, the Independent Living Center has an onsite food pantry serving those in Joplin (2639 E 34th St, Joplin, MO 64804)

Hopeful Bites: This group, started by Southwest Missouri All for Love & Love for All in Joplin, offers free lunch to the community daily. Lunch includes a sandwich, fruit, snacks, protein and water on the Joplin City Hall sidewalk (602 S Main St, Joplin, MO 64801).
Kansas City, MO:
Harvesters Community Food Network: Enter your zip code and this site will direct you to food pantries, community kitchens or a drive-through food pick up nearest to you.
Findhelp KC: This resource allows you to locate the nearest food assistance to you in Kansas City.
YMCA of Greater Kansas City operates a mobile food pantry, where participants stay in their cars while fresh produce, canned goods, and other non-perishable items are delivered directly to their vehicles. They also operate an outreach food pantry serving those in the Kansas City area. Both the mobile food pantry and the outreach pantry have a list of locations.

Kirksville, MO:
Pantry for Adair County assists in providing supplemental food to those facing food insecurity in Adair County, MO. Using the Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri along with local donations, PAC distributes fresh produce, meats and other grocery products to residents of Adair County.
